The Healthcare Human Factors Group makes its first appearance at MEDICA

The Healthcare Human Factors Group, one of the world’s largest medical ergonomics research centres, is making its first appearance at MEDICA. Based at the massive three-hospital University Health Network in Toronto, the Group offers design consulting and evaluation services to medical equipment manufacturers, hospitals, and others wanting to make their new devices, processes, or innovations safe and easy to use.

“For example, we helped Smiths Medical design their new ambulatory infusion pump,” says Human Factors Group manager Anjum Chagpar. “And it has recently received FDA approval.”

Ms. Chagpar and the Group’s human factors engineer, Heather Colbert, will be on hand at MEDICA 2008 looking for clients world wide who need superior human factors and ergonomics design, analysis, and testing.
